1. My Computer

Let’s start by narrowing down
the problem.
- Plug in and turn on the POCKETEC device.
- Open your Control Panel (Start > Settings >
Control Panel)
- Open the Administrative Tools (Tip: Use CLASSIC
VIEW)
- Open the Computer Management
- Select the Device Manager on the left
- On the right, look under the UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS
CONTROLLERS
- You will have a USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE listed
there
- Double click on the USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE. (Don’t
have this device listed?
Click here)
- In the USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE properties window,
look at the location. It should read out LOCATION
0 (USB 2.0 STORAGE ADAPTER). If it does not say that,
it’s likely you have multiple USB MASS STORAGE
DEVICES. Cancel out and double-click on the other
one.
- Once you have the correct USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE
read what the DEVICE STATUS says. Below are the most
common messages. Click them to see the corresponding

a. This
device cannot start. (Code 10)
b. The
drivers are not present, not working properly or not
installed. (Code 28)
c. This
device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
